Role Summary
The Sales Engineer will manage customer enquiries, qualify leads, understand technical requirements, coordinate product demonstrations, and follow up on opportunities to achieve assigned sales targets. The role involves working closely with customers, application engineers, and internal teams throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and respond to customer enquiries through phone, email, website, and online platforms. 
  • Generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, webinars, and other sales activities. 
  • Qualify leads and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle. 
  • Understand customer requirements, handle basic technical queries, and recommend suitable solutions. 
  • Coordinate product demonstrations and Proof of Concept activities with application engineers. 
  • Prepare and share quotations, proposals, and product information with customers. 
  • Follow up on quotations and opportunities to support timely order closure. 
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and updates. 
  • Coordinate pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales activities with internal teams. 
  • Conduct post-implementation calls to collect feedback and identify further opportunities. 
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM. 
  • Support webinars, exhibitions, marketing campaigns, and other business-development activities. 
Requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience in B2B, industrial, or technical sales, preferably in CAD/CAM software, cutting tools, or CNC machine tools. 
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machines, CAM software, or manufacturing technologies is preferred. 
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a related discipline. 
  • Strong communication, customer-handling, negotiation, and follow-up skills. 
  • Comfortable working with sales targets and performance KPIs. 
  • Knowledge of CRM tools, MS Office, and online meeting platforms. 
  • Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and goal-oriented. 
  • Willingness to travel as required. 
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi and local language
