Role Summary

As an Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping customers successfully adopt and utilize our CAD/CAM and CNC software. You will be responsible for conducting product demonstrations, installations, customer training, technical support, troubleshooting, and postprocessor customization activities. Working closely with customers, sales teams, and product experts, you will help bridge the gap between customer requirements and technical solutions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct online and onsite product demonstrations for prospective customers. 
  • Install, configure, and commission software solutions at customer locations. 
  • Deliver customer onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer sessions. 
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, remote access, and onsite visits. 
  • Troubleshoot software, workflow, and application-related issues and ensure timely resolution. 
  • Understand customer manufacturing processes and recommend suitable software solutions. 
  • Gather customer requirements and effectively communicate them to the sales and product teams. 
  • Support Proof of Concept (POC) activities and technical evaluations. 
  • Develop, customize, test, and troubleshoot CNC postprocessors for various machine tools and controllers. 
  • Document technical issues, customer feedback, and enhancement requests. 
  • Collaborate with development, product, and sales teams to improve customer experience. 
  • Travel to customer locations as required for installations, training, support, and technical discussions. 
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. 
  • 2 years of relevant experience in CAD/CAM software applications, technical support, or application engineering. 
  • Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Exposure to Multi-Axis CAM programming (4-axis and/or 5-axis machining). 
  • Good understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing practices. 
  • Understanding of CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Mazak, Haas, or similar. 
  • Exposure to CNC postprocessors and NC code generation workflows. 
  • Good understanding of milling and turning machining processes. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills. 
  • Experience in conducting customer training and technical demonstrations is preferred. 
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India when required. 
  • Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
